State-of-the-Art Ultrasound Imaging

At the Nancy Vick Center for Women, we offer state-of-the-art 3D and 4D ultrasound imaging.  The first pictures and movies of your baby in the womb can be seen complete with facial features.  With it, you can see hand and finger movements, yawning, swallowing, blinking, etc.  For women and their families, this dynamic and real time imaging provides a positive bonding experience between them and their unborn baby.

When to have an exam. To obtain the best images of your baby, the best time to have this exam is between 28 and 31 weeks of your pregnancy. During this period, the fetus is more developed and features are more distinguishable.

Exam length.  A typical exam lasts about 20 minutes. Occasionally, the baby’s position prevents obtaining good images of his/her face.  Should this occur, we will be glad to offer a follow up ultrasound once more before 32 weeks at no charge.

Preparation. There are no special preparations other than wearing comfortable and loose-fitting clothing.

Risks? There are no known risks to you and your unborn child.

We encourage you to invite family and friends, up to four visitors, to enjoy this experience with you.

It is our goal to provide you with an experience that you will cherish for many years to come.  Please do not hesitate to contact us with any additional questions that you may have.

Note: 3D and 4D ultrasound imaging does not eliminate your need for routine care and the diagnostic ultrasound examinations associated with it.

Our 4d package is $75.00 includes:

* 20 minute scanning session

* CD of color pictures
